The Scottish From Sorrow To Serenity are young and feisty. Passion appears to ooze out of every note they play. They play like they’ve been here for decades, like home, their feet are firmly in the ground and they play ferociously. They easily turn the crowd in their favour, definitely a band to be watching out for.
It may not be the busiest gig in Clwb but that doesn’t deter anyone from the band from playing their upmost. Their endurance in this scene is admirable, they’re a band that feels real, mature and they admire what they do and the fans that support them.
Mid set sees the guitarists do one of the quickest string changes in existence at a gig as singer Joe does a little improv with the crowd to ease the moment. The feeling is warm around the venue and people laugh.
The surroundings doesn’t do them justice. Vocals are thunderous, riffs and tight and drums are tremendous.
A quick jest at the current US political state doesn’t quite sink in with the crowd as the UK is doing their own trump at the moment but you feel their anger and as their grooves slowly consume the venue tonight, people become more and more engrossed. By the end of the night a chant demanding for one more song sees them gracefully take to the stage again to play one last hit for this small crowd full of affection.
