Slyde’s Playlist

Slyde

Next month, Slyde will be releasing their new EP Back Again. Ahead of its release, we caught up with them for an insight into their musical tastes and influences! Get involved and check out the music below.

A song that influenced them
Soilwork – Rejection Role

Soilwork’s 2003 album Figure Number Five has resonated with me ever since I heard it. It was my introduction to Soilwork and despite the criticism the band received upon releasing this album, I think it’s a prime example of mixing heavy melodic metal with hooks and pop sensibility (something Slyde has always tried to do).

A song they wish they could have written
Boston – Peace Of Mind

A classic, and one of my favourite tunes!

Their favourite Slyde song
Lies

Such a powerful message and arguably our most popular track with fans.

A song they’ve been listening to a lot recently
Metallica – Spit Out The Bone

The best track (in my opinion) off their new record, and a great culmination of what Metallica was and is.

Their all time favourite song
Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb

I cannot give a definite answer to this question, but if I had to choose, this would be this tune, hands down.
