Is it just me, or is this year racing by? Here’s our favourite releases from the past month – make sure you get listening!
Natalie’s Picks
Sleep Token – Two
Track to check out: Nazareth
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/sleep-token-two-review/
A beautifully stunning piece of work, the mysterious Sleep Token have crafted an EP that will draw you in and get under your skin.
Klingenberg Syndrome – Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Track to check out: The Traveller
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/klingenberg-syndrome-whiskey-tango-foxtrot-review/
I loved Klingenberg Syndrome’s debut so was eagerly awaiting album number two. If you’re big on your prog, you need to get involved with this!
Orden Ogan – Gunmen
Track to check out: Forlorn And Forsaken
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/orden-ogan-gunmen-review/
Cheesy, infectious and massive, Gunmen is a fun album that requires you to listen to it at top volume – and don’t forget to sing along!
Dave’s Picks
MRTVI – Negative Atonal Dissonance
Track to check out: As Consciousness Is Harnessed To Flesh Pt. 1
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/mrtvi-negative-atonal-dissonance-review/
Possibly the most toxic emo album you will ever hear but it’s still a better love story than My Chemical Romance.
Ewigkeit – Cosmic Man
Track to check out: Time Traveling Medicine Man
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/ewigkeit-cosmic-man-review/
Mr Fog’s gallant return to Ewigkeit is so deep that you can get lost within it’s mesmeric and labyrinthine riffs like a maiden wandering towards a Minotaur.
Ben Prunty – The Darkside Detective OST
Track to check out: The Truth is Around Here Somewhere
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/ben-prunty-darkside-detective-ost/
I love the sounds on this soundtrack. I’m a massive fan of the work FlyByNo done for the Endless games and this soundtrack reminds me of them but of course with its own Occult-esque flavor.
