Singled Out: Dicepeople – Strangelove

Following on from their excellent EP Synthetic (our review can be seen here!) Dicepeople is back with their new single Strangelove, a cover of Depeche Mode’s 1987 song. The single also comes bundled with a stripped-down remix of the track, as well as the sci-themed music video for the track.

As a fan of both Dicepeople and Depeche Mode, I had high hopes for Strangelove and I certainly wasn’t let down with this. The Dicepeople rendition of Strangelove is hypnotic and stunning, and will definitely get stuck in your head. What’s especially good is that whilst the band has certainly put their own spin on the song, it’s still faithful to the original as well – which is exactly what a cover should be!

Strangelove is available now for streaming and free download from Bandcamp: https://dicepeople.bandcamp.com/album/strangelove

Catch Dicepeople live at The Water Rats in London on August 19!
