Panic Lift – End Process Review

Release date: 24th August 2018

I’ve been really into my hard industrial lately so the promo for Panic Lift, describing the band as blending hard industrial, synth-pop, dance and rock together, caught my eye almost immediately. Although the band has been knocking about for about twelve years, End Process is my first insight into the band – and what an introduction it is.

End Process grabs your interest immediately. It’s catchy and in-your-face, with tonnes of great inclusions, and in particular the electronic lines will swiftly get stuck in your head and rattle round your brain for days after you’ve finished listening to the album.

An early highlight of the album is Savages. One of the more melodic tracks of the album, mostly in part due to the clean vocal line in the chorus, it contrasts well against the snarled harsh vocals in the start of the track, and the electronic riffs that repeat over the course of the song are seriously hypnotic. Meanwhile sixth track Life Cycle is on the other end of the scale, featuring a more aggressive approach from both the instrumentation and vocals alike. It really gives the album a more varied feel, and helps to keep things interesting.

In short, End Process is rather fantastic – if you’re big on your electronic/hard industrial music, then make sure you don’t miss this album.

9/10
