Nashville has a way of creating beautifully crafted country rock songs that are radio-ready and a pleasure to listen to; and this time around it is time, once again, to shine a light on the talented efforts of Randall Lee Richards, with his thoughtful new single A Heartbreak In The Making.
At first glance, one might easily make the mistake of placing A Heartbreak In The Making into the usual wedding-ballad genre box, but this track chooses to look at the other side of love; the potentially dark side of it. As an anti-ballad of sorts, A Heartbreak In The Making is a fresh approach to the Nashville-esque type of song writing. More importantly, Randall’s new single is a brave new approach to his own song writing style, and in usual fashion, Randall hits all the notes of sound perfection.
With his previous well-received and highly praised releases (A Paradise Life and While You Were Sleeping), Randall Lee Richards has made a real song writing name for himself in the music industry. At this point, anyone following Randall’s music career must be impressed by the sheer amount of solid music coming out of his camp, and left wondering, just how many single-worthy tracks does this artist have left to offer? My guess, A LOT!
It would be a lengthy list indeed to start breaking down what Randall Lee Richard does right in his new single, but to mention a few, we would have to start with his perfectly toned vocals, the smooth musicianship, and the production skills that make Nashville famous for being, well, Nashville. This is not a song that tries to break the mould, but rather, it successfully changes it a little, and that is what makes it the great single that it is.
