John Romero announces a new episode for Doom ’93 – Sigil feat. Buckethead.

What do you call a love letter to metal and Doom ’93 made by original id software team member John Romero? A Sigil.

Sigil is a devilish new episode for the original Doom made by John Romero. The wizard behind the wall texture ZZZFACE1-9. Who in collaboration with artists Buckethead and Christopher Lovell, and Limited Run Games has put together a curious package of music, art and gameplay.

The package as offered by Limited Run Games contains exclusive music from guitar maestro Buckethead to rip and tear a room full of zombies and hellspawn with. While Christopher Lovell, who has done artwork for bands such as Amon Amarth and Bring Me The Horizon, provides the delectable artwork. The physical release also contains other goodies and in two flavours: the standard edition and the beast box.
