Okay, I’m not going to lie here. Ever since Bleed From Within first announced their new album, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this promo in my inbox. With each release, BFW seem to get better and better – and as expected, Era is their strongest release yet.
Pure and simple, Era is just facemeltingly awesome and a particularly good element of their sound is how they utilise melody into their sound by mainly using the guitars for the melodic moments whilst sparingly using clean vocals. It’s only in a couple of songs at select moments where clean vocals are used, with Bleed From Within utilising harsh vocals exclusively for a good chunk of the album, and as a result, when they do occur, they leave more of an impression on you. Additionally, since BFW don’t follow the same cut-and-paste harsh vocal verse/clean vocal chorus approach for each song, it also means Era is more engaging because you’re never sure what’s coming next!
Each of the songs are awesome in their own right, but one of the best inclusions is Bed Of Snakes. The energetic and powerful drumline serves as a tremendous driving force for the gigantic riffs, mighty solos and in-your-face vocals, and it makes for an all-round great listen – I can already invision this one packing a serious punch when performed live!
Era is some next level work from Bleed From Within. Engaging, impressive and memorable – this definitely ticks all the right boxes for us!
