Bleed From Within – Fracture Review

Release date: 29th May 2020

When Bleed From Within released their previous album, Era, I wasn’t sure if they’d be able to best it. A massively solid release that blew me away (and still continues to blow me away), I was both excited and nervous to see what they would follow it up with. Enter Fracture.

After treating us to a sneak peek of things to come with debut single The End Of All We Know at the tail end of 2019, I was massively impressed by the potential of the track and eagerly awaited more. Needless to say, Fracture was worth the wait because it absolutely slays. Bleed From Within have really crafted something to behold with Fracture.

All of the tracks deliver in their own way, but one of the stronger inclusions is the title track Fracture, mostly in part to the massive-sounding chorus. A mixture of harsh and clean vocals, and simply begging to be sang along to in a live environment, this will surely be a set staple for years to come. However, my personal favourite is actually the album closer, A Depth That No One Dares. The track features meaty riffs paired with just the right amount of melody and even some black metal-esque vocals in the latter half of the song which was naturally right up my street.

In my review of Era, I said Bleed From Within get better with every release – and that definitely rings true with Fracture. Can’t wait for the time when bands can tour again so I can witness these songs in the flesh.
