Bleeding Through – Love Will Kill All Review

Release date: 25th May 2018

I love Bleeding Through and it broke my heart when they announced they were splitting up – so when it was announced that they were back (and properly back at that, not just returning for a couple of shows!) I couldn’t have been more excited and eagerly awaited their new album, Love Will Kill All. Unfortunately, this release does not hit the heights that Bleeding Through are capable of.

In short: it’s just not an exciting album. It doesn’t get your heart racing as the introduction kicks in and the album gets underway. There’s no massive hooks, or choruses that will get under your skin and stuck in your head. Love Will Kill All isn’t bad, but it isn’t the best that Bleeding Through can offer and it feels like a bit of a letdown following the excitement of them being back.

No Friends is the one shining star amongst the lacklustre inclusions, however. The song has a good amount of bite to it, and the driving force behind the track courtesy of the drums really helps to keep things moving alongside the massive riffs and chunky guitar lines. It’s very energetic and punchy, and the combination of snarls, yells and clean vocals keeps the track fresh.

I wanted nothing more than to post a glowing, excited review about Love Will Kill All, as Bleeding Through is one of those bands you can’t help but enjoy. Unfortunately, this time round they wound up missing the mark somewhat.

5/10
