Bloodbath – Survival Of The Sickest Review

Release date: 9th September 2022

It’s always a good day when you get new music from Bloodbath, and Survival Of The Sickest is another stellar piece from the death metal powerhouse. Each one of the album’s tracks packs a mighty punch and is certainly one of the band’s strongest releases to date.

From beginning to end, Survival Of The Sickest just grips you. It’s a very musically sound album, and Bloodbath deliver hit after hit with each song. From start to finish, each twist and turn on the album keeps you hooked and engaged as it progresses.

A personal favourite is second track Putrefying Corpse, which also features a guest appearance from Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway. His vocals pair wonderfully with Nick’s, with the two contrasting nicely against one another, and makes for a mighty song – it’s no wonder it was one of the songs chosen to be released as a single. Another highlight is closer No God Before Me, which finishes with some massive group vocals to help bring the album to an epic close.

If you’re a fan of disgusting, filthy death metal, then don’t let this one pass you by.
