Boss Keloid – Herb Your Enthusiasm Review

Boss Keloid herb your enthusiasmHerb Your Enthusiasm, the second album from Boss Keloid, is one of those releases that seems impossible to place, with some moments that will leave you scratching your head, but nevertheless it is a rewarding listen and one you’re going to want to get involved with.

A great element of Boss Keloid’s sound is the fact that it has a little more energy and movement than the more ‘standard’ form of sludge that’s growing increasingly common in the UK scene and as a result, the music is more striking and stands out from the crowd. It makes it more memorable and the music subsequently sticks with you, maintaining your interest as you move from one track to the next.

Highlights of the album include Lung Valley, which features some stunning clean vocals and rather old-school sounding guitars to begin with before the song progresses into an all-round heavier piece, and Escapegoat, which is a powerfully-delivered track with some really funky guitar riffs and hard-hitting drums.

As a whole, Herb Your Enthusiasm is a good album and a great follow-up to Boss Keloid’s debut – if you haven’t heard of this talented band, then this is a great starting point for you.
