Earth Caller’s Playlist

Earth Caller will soon be releasing their new album Crystal Death. We caught up with them to find out about their tastes.

A song that influenced Earth Caller
We draw inspiration from many genres. In an Earth Caller song you might hear influences from bands like NOFX, vocal patterns from listening to rappers like Pusha T, or Big Pun and then breakdowns inspired by Parkway or The Ghost Inside. I find that the best music is written with every single song that you’ve heard in mind because ultimately that will be the catalyst for your entire body of work.

A song you wish you could have written
Bohemian Rhapsody. When I go out I’m always a little bit scared that song will come on because it destroys me.

Your favourite Earth Caller song
Never in Never Around from the new record.

A song you’ve been listening to a lot recently
A song called Elevator by an Aussie band called Holy Holy. Their whole new record is great. I’ve also been listening to the new Tonight Alive songs a lot recently. Their new album is definitely going to be a banger. Earth Caller has been writing a lot too and even though we’re about release a new album, there’s even more new stuff on the horizon and it’s really exciting.

Your all-time favourite song
Bohemian Rhapsody. Once again, because it destroys me.
