Exist Immortal – Darkness Of An Age Review

Exist Immortal Darkness Of An AgeDarkness Of An Age is the debut album from Exist Immortal and it’s a great starting point for the band – mature, well-rounded and a good foundation for what could well be an illustrious career for the band.

Exist Immortal have got the mix of harsh and melodic vocals just right – there’s not an overwhelming amount of one or the other – and it makes for a refreshing listen, however on the downside the tracks largely follow the same format so there perhaps isn’t as much variety on the album as one would hope.

Saying that however, Darkness Of An Age features some absolutely fantastic inclusions such as Edge Of Infinity which is more of a heavier number with some absolutely crushing riffs, and the following earworm of a track Imperator which features vocals so stunning and memorable they’ll be stuck in your head for days on end.

Overall, this is very promising stuff from the five-piece and is a highly enjoyable listen that you’ll keep wanting to revisit.
