Feed Them To The Forest – Can’t Forget Review

Release date: 7th May 2018

Can’t Forget is only the debut EP from alt-rock/emo outfit Feed Them To The Forest but it’s a very decent introduction to the band and shows a lot of promise.

Musically it’s nothing massively new, and Feed Them To The Forest don’t necessarily tread any new ground with Can’t Forget. However it’s a very well-rounded release and features a solid and strong musical performance from the fivepiece, and each of the five tracks are memorable and catchy. Every element of their sound is good, and it makes for good listening as a result.

Second track Golden Age Thinking is an early highlight, featuring a massive chorus that will surely sound excellent in a live setting, and the bass solo in the latter half of the song gives the track a little more variety, as this is an instrument that doesn’t often get the chance to take centre stage. Meanwhile, later track Speculative Grief has a great upbeat vibe to it, with a lot of emotion and optimism to the piece.

As a whole, Can’t Forget is a good debut from Feed Them To The Forest. They haven’t quite found their own sound yet, as there’s nothing to really set them apart from other bands in the genre at present, but it’s a very good first effort and there’s definitely a lot of potential for the band to grow.
