How did you get started?
Life on Standby formed three years ago, Gav (guitarist) and Gia (drummer) were in a band together previously, they both came to one of my college gigs and asked me to sing and Liam (bassist) joined the band shortly after.
What’s it like to make it to the final eight of the Red Bull Studios competition?
It is surreal! It has slightly sunk in as we are spending as many hours possible in the studio rehearsing and making what we hope will be a mind blowing set!

Who are you most looking forward to seeing play at Download?
Linkin Park, Royal Blood, Arcane Roots, Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy, our friends Colt 45 who are playing the Red Bull Studios stage too and Marmozets as we had the pleasure of supporting them in Glasgow recently and they’re really cool!
What’s your best festival memory either personally attending as a fan or in the band? And what’s your advice to all the festival goers?
Just experiencing a festival in itself is the best memory, but I’m sure playing Download will beat that for all of us. Best Advice? Soak up the whole experience, go and see as many bands as possible and take wellies!
