Who are you and what do you do?

We are The Pack a.d. and we play rock and roll music.
Where did the band’s name come from?

We were called The Pack and then there was another The Pack and they weren’t having it, so being Canadian, we added the A.D. so they’d leave us alone.
How did you get started?
We were in another band that was a lot of fun but ultimately didn’t amount to anything. We started practicing on the side and, lo, we became…us.
What have you got going on at the moment?
Currently listening to albums I got on tour and trying to figure out how to salvage my iTunes library before my crappy computer finally just dies…but if you mean the band, we just got back from tour and plan on coming up with more new songs.
Why should Soundscape readers care?

I think there are a lot of things that Soundscape readers should care about. I’m sure they’re already caring about them.
Tell our readers an interesting fact about yourself?
I don’t actually really like pasta. This isn’t interesting at all, but on my mind because I’ve had to explain my reasons why a lot lately. It seems I’m very alone in this.
What’s your writing and recording process?
We both come up with lyrics. Becky comes up with riffs and melodies. I come up with drum beats. We get together and jam around and voila, music happens. When we decide we want to record something, we set aside a solid month where all we do is jam until we feel we have things worth recording.
What inspires you?

Literature. Movies. Space. Oceans. Solitude.
Who are your role models/idols?

Currently, I’ll go with Kate Bush.
Hardest thing about the current business?

Things are only as hard as one decides they are. I don’t currently view anything that way so…
What are your future plans?
Tour more. Record more. Play music. Enjoy life.
