So Download Festival is under a week away and we know it’s always so hard to pick who you go to see. There’s always so many news bands to check out along side some of your favourites at Download Festival and we figure if we give you a bit of a preview of each and let them introduce themselves to you, it may make your planning easier.
The Treatment are still so young. Some of the band are still in their teens, the others only in their early twenties and yet they’re rocking Download Festival already! They bring their brand of punk meets hard rock to the field from Cambridge and they’re ready to take the festival by storm.
Who are you and what do you do?
We are The Treatment, and we play high energy, balls to the wall rock and roll. 5 guys that were put on this earth to stir things up a bit!
How did you get started?
We got together when Dhani our drummer approached his dad and said he was sick and tired of the lack of rock and roll out there at the moment, and that he wanted to put together a band. He searched far and wide until he got together a group of guys that all share the same desire and dedication. 5 of life’s misfits moved into the same house, and we haven’t looked back since!
What stage and day are you playing at Download Festival?
We’re on the Pepsi Max stage on the Sunday at 14:45.
What’s the best thing about playing Download Festival?
The best thing about playing Download is that it is one of, if not the greatest festival in the world! The amount of our hero’s that have played at Donnington is almost countless. We have visited Download a few times as just fans, and the atmosphere is great. Rock fans are the best fans out there, and to have somewhere where we can all come together and enjoy the best weekend of the year is priceless.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing play at Download?
We cannot wait for Aerosmith! Such a great band, and huge inspirations to us all. We’re really looking forward to seeing our mates Steel Panther to. We toured with them a year or two ago and we always get on great with them. Some of the coolest guys we’ve met on the road.
Have you got any surprises in store for you Download set?
You never know what you’re gonna get with a Treatment show. We don’t really ever plan anything, it just happens. Will there be pyro? No. Will there be danger? Absolutely!
What’s your best festival memory either personally attending as a fan or in the band? And what’s your advice to all the festival goers?
That is really hard to say. We visited Japan a while back to play a festival over there and that was insane. The first time we played download was really special to. We had one absolutely outrageous experience at download when we went to watch AC/DC, but to be honest, that’s a story best saved for another time. All i’m going to say, is wear a condom, and don’t let ANYONE (including yourself) throw up in your tent. This is a must.
