Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your band?
The Void is:
Jon Vornbrock – vocals and guitar
Dean Wilson – drums
Rob Cooper – guitar
Jonny Little – bass
When did the band form?
The Void was imagined by Jon Vornbrock in 2007 after writing a handful of songs that did not fit the band he was in at the time.
How did the band form?
The first record “Play.Make.Believe” was recorded by Jon in his bedroom in 2007 and is now a limited pressing. The Void has now(2013) finished it’s first full band record with a solid line up of Dean Wilson, Jonny Little & Rob Cooper. The album is titled RobotSpaceLove & it’s available through Itunes, Amazon & Bandcamp. Search RobotSpaceLove for best results.
Who are your biggest influences?
The Void is an independent fuzz-rock band picking up the pieces of love and rebellion that the 90’s left behind. Avoiding the 15 minute scenes, The Void will reconnect you with the past and give something to look forward to in the future of rock and roll.
How would you describe your live show to someone who hasn’t seen you yet?
The Void live can best be described as a whisper to a scream… Gently whispering in your ear to a sonic slap in the face. Melding dynamics with pop/rock sensibilities, you’ll be on the floor moving all night.
