Picks Of The Month: July 2018

Bit of a varied mix of albums this month, but they’re all absolutely wonderful.

Nat’s Picks

Ritual Aesthetic – Wound Garden
Track to check out: The Analog Flesh

I’m really big on my industrial right now, and this is an album that deserves to be blasted at top volume from start to finish.

Vanhävd – Låt köttet dö
Track to check out: Om den vulgära farsens nonsens
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/vanhavd-lat-kottet-do-review/
Purchase link: https://vanhavd.bandcamp.com/album/l-t-k-ttet-d

Incredibly, this is only the debut release from Vanhävd. Doom metal at its finest.

Gwydion – Thirteen
Track to check out: Strength Remains

Twelve tracks of somewhat cheesy goodness. It’s good to have Gwydion back. ♥

Daves’ Picks

Bonjour Tristesse – Your Ultimate Urban Nightmare
Track to check out: Wavebreaker

Purchase link: https://bonjourtristesse.bandcamp.com/album/your-ultimate-urban-nightmare

Although I’m finding the whole DSBM/Atmospheric Black Metal schtick to be really tiresome there are a few nuggets of gold floating down the stream and this is definitely one of them.

Galasphere 347 – Galasphere 347
Track to check out: The Fallen Angel
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/galasphere-347-galasphere-347-review/

Summer is the season of prog and this is the sound of the summer.

Khôrada – Salt
Track to check out: Ossify
Our review: https://www.soundscapemagazine.com/khorada-salt-review/

Summer is the season of prog and this is the sound of those summer nights.
