South Wales rockers Manhattan Coast have consistently been one of the scene’s strongest bands since their formation in 2012, with some incredibly solid releases and some killer live shows. This five track EP is undoubtedly the bands strongest release to date.
The Manhattan Coast sound is a punchy blend of pop punk, but with a harder, darker edge and absolutely packed with catchy melodies and big choruses.
First track, and video, War On The Weekend kicks things off with a huge riff and an even bigger chorus,  singer Nick Lane really flexing those vocal muscles all over this one.
Monsoon Season In Machine City contains another fistful of melodies that Manhattan Coast are more than happy to beat you around the head with.
This One’s For You is a poppier, funky sounding number, and has quite possibly the biggest chorus on here, if it doesn’t get stuck in your head for days then there is something wrong with your head.
My favourite track here is the one that closes the EP, Carpe Diem, it’s something of an epic, with many different sections, I’ve listened to it about 8 times in a row and it’s getting better each time, one to check out for sure.
