metal_meltdown_fb_top_v3

We caught up with Michael Vescera to find out more about his new touring project, 3 Hours Of Metal Meltdown. See what happened below!

Cheers for the interview – can you introduce yourself to the readers please?
I’m Michael Vescera – lead vocalist for Animetal USA and Obsession, former lead vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen and Loudness.

So what’s the story behind 3HOMM – how did it all come about?
While speaking with Miro from Real Media Music about possible dates for my solo show, he suggested putting together 3 popular singers and doing the best songs of our careers.

What can people expect from the live shows?
High energy performances from some of the best vocalists and musicians in the metal world. If you’re a fan of Tim Owens, Mats Leven or myself, your going to hear the popular songs that we’re known for. Something I’m sure our fans will be excited to see and hear.

What are you most looking forward to about taking 3HOMM on the road?
Having the chance to share the stage with Tim and Mats, 2 great vocalists, but mostly the fans!! It’s great for me to sing the songs that they now me for, from the various killer groups I’ve been part of through my career!!

If you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’ve been most everywhere and honestly every country is special in its own way. So I would have to say, everywhere and anywhere I can!!

Each singer will be onstage for one hour – are there any plans to combine any performances with the musicians singing together or will everything be kept separate, so to speak?
Yes, There are plans to share the stage, we’re putting some ideas together at the moment, I’m sure it will rock!!

How did you choose the musicians who will be acting as a backing group?
They are musicians that Miro and Real Media Music have on their roster. Great players/ musicians!! You really need to be, playing some of this stuff!!

Will there be any recordings made in the future or is this strictly a project for the road only?
We are discussing something of this sort, but still discussing at this point. I would love too and hope it will happen

And aside from 3HOMM, what are your plans for 2015?

I’ll be in South America in January, touring with Blaze Bailey, Udo, Tim Owens and myself. Something very similar to 3HOMM. Another “Animetal USA” CD is on the horizon in 2015 as well. And hopefully a bunch of touring!!
