Nekrogoblikon – Heavy Meta Review

nekrogoblikon heavy metaEveryone’s favourite goblins Nekrogoblikon are back with their third full length album, Heavy Meta and it once again proves why this band is a force to be reckoned with.

To cut right to the chase, Heavy Meta is absolutely excellent and is Nekrogoblikon doing what they do best. Whilst it’s fair to say it doesn’t bring anything new to the table when compared to previous releases, and although it would be nice to see the outfit push a few more boundaries and try new things, it isn’t a tremendous problem because Nekrogoblikon is a band that does have a fairly unique sound anyway.

Opener End Of Infinity is an early highlight of the piece, and the guitar line in the chorus is so insanely infectious and catchy you’ll find yourself humming along to it before you even realise what you’re doing – it gets under your skin and will rattle round your head for days!

Another great track is Let’s Get Fucked, which features a guest performance from the king of party himself, Andrew WK, and even has a nod to his famous song Party Hard! It’s just an all-round fun sounding track with a fantastic atmosphere, and is a highly enjoyable listen.

Nekrogoblikon have once again delivered with Heavy Meta – this is an album you don’t want to miss.
