Siberian Meat Grinder – Metal Bear Stomp Review

If I was grading Siberian Meat Grinder on their name alone, it would be a pure-and-simple 10/10 – but if nothing else, it’s a name that will get your attention and make you want to check out their music. Metal Bear Stomp is the band’s second album and it’s an asskicking listen that needs to be played loud.

Twelve tricks of noisy chaos, Siberian Meat Grinder certainly mean business and deliver one aural assault into your ears after another. Although there’s a slight lack of variety between songs, it doesn’t take anything away from the album as a whole and you can also absolutely guarantee it will be one of those albums best appreciated live due to the energy and momentum of it all.

From the half-snarled, half-spoken vocals to the thundering guitars and foot-tappingly good drums, Siberian Meat Grinder relentlessly blend everything together into an awesomely kickass sound that will get your head banging and your fist pumping in the air – it’s just a powerful little piece.

All in all, Metal Bear Stomp is a pretty exciting piece. Admittedly it would be nice to have a little more diversity to the music but this is still a great album and I definitely can’t wait to catch this band live!

7.5/10
