Singled Out: Project Silence – The Conjurer

It’s always a treat to get new music from Project Silence, especially so soon after they released their latest album The Void. The Conjurer is another mighty listen from them that ticks all the right boxes.

This song leans more on the synthwave side of their sound and is a purely instrumental piece. One of the things I enjoy most about Project Silence is their chameleon-like ability to shift their sound between metal and synth, and no matter which style their songs favour, it always sounds undoubtedly like them.

The Conjurer follows on nicely from the music featured on The Void, almost sounding like a ‘bonus’ track yet is still able to stand on its own as a standalone piece. Indeed, the more you listen to it, the more hypnotic it becomes. I really enjoy all the little intricacies within the song that give it extra layers, and it has swiftly become one of my favourite Project Silence tracks.

Once again Project Silence have delivered – here’s to hoping I’ll get to hear The Conjurer live in 2025 to see how it hits in a live environment!
