Skinned – Shadow Syndicate Review

Release date: 4th May 2018

Shadow Syndicate is the fifth album from death metallers Skinned, and it’s a massively solid bit of work that really packs a punch. After really enjoying their show a few years back at Eradication Festival, I had high hopes when this promo first turned up in my inbox and Skinned did not disappoint.

It definitely feels like the music will kick some serious ass in a live environment because it’s all very brutal and in your face; Skinned are almost projecting the noise and chaos at you, and it’s fucking awesome. Shadow Syndicate will get your head banging from start to finish and the sheer energy displayed by the band is something to behold – I can only begin to imagine the momentum one of their live shows will have with the inclusion of these songs into their set!

With plenty of mighty-sounding tracks to sink your teeth into, Shadow Syndicate is certainly not short of excellent material. Fourth track We Are The End is a particularly relentless track, with hammering drums and powerful vocals, and later track Led To The Trains has absolutely massive riffs that will hit you like a tonne of bricks.

Skinned have delivered the goods with Shadow Syndicate. This is a mighty bit of work and hits all the right spots. Make sure you don’t miss this one.
