Soundscape’s Inverse Advent 06: Tyrant Disciple – Weight Of Oblivion

I knew I recognised Tyrant Disciple from somewhere, and I thought possibly I’d seen them live, as their music isn’t in my collection. Turns out they played at Nummirock 2018 so I’m guessing I probably caught a song or two of their set there!

Day 06: Tyrant Disciple – Weight Of Oblivion
Weight Of Oblivion is alright. It’s pretty easy to listen to, good to bang your head to and if memory serves me correctly, I’m fairly certain their live show was pretty solid – although I would definitely be intrigued to catch them again now that I’m more familiar with their music.

Blood Countess is a pretty good inclusion. There is a good blend of melody and aggression; the harsh vocals sit nicely atop of the chugging riffs and I also really enjoy the simple, stripped-back introduction that leads in perfectly to an aggressive wall of noise from the band.

Track recommendation: Bloody Countess
