Have to admit, opened up the album and thought the band name was War Thorns. Tbh, I prefer it to their actual name?
Day 08: Iliac Thorns – It
Well, this is alright. Nothing special, but easy enough listening that I can stick it on for a bit of background noise whilst doing something else. The vocals are pretty powerful and the music features some nice meaty riffs.
The album has a good amount of momentum that it maintains from start to finish. I’d perhaps be interested to see this band live, if it wasn’t for the fact that this ten-year-old album appears to be their most current release (although their facebook did say they were hoping to release an EP in 2019).
