Taina – Seelenfresser Review

Release date: 11th May 2018

Well, this is rather good! Tania’s debut album Seelenfresser is an impressive bit of work to say the least. This is industrial done exactly how I like it, and it’s just an enjoyable listen.

Taina’s music packs a massive punch, and the album as a whole just sounds powerful. The electronic lines are strong, and the vocals have a wonderfully dark vibe to them that contrasts well against them. Perfekte Dunkelheit is a particularly good example of this; the chorus sees the electronic line following the same melody as the vocals, and the two juxtapose fantastically against one another, making it stand out more as a result.

Another strong track is the title track Seelenfresser, which actually first saw the light of day over a year and a half ago. It’s no real surprise why this was chosen as a single to give fans a taste of what to expect from the album, because it’s a really catchy track with some massive-sounding electronics that will definitely get under your skin.

If you’re looking for some interesting and intriguing industrial music, then look no further than Taina. Seelenfresser is a very promising debut from the talented band, and hopefully is the start of a long and successful career for them.
