Bridgend based indie brit rockers Zephyr Reign have just released a new single called ‘Waiting For A Lifetime’ and as I’ve been trying to feature the band on the site for sometime felt this was a perfect opportunity.
You have the new single ‘Waiting For A Lifetime’ being released, where was it recorded and with who? It was recorded at Sonic One Studios in Llangennech with Tim Hamill. We have recorded there many times. Great Studio. Great Producer. We then went on to have it mastered in Abbey Road Studios.
What’s the song all about? An observation of when certain people have so many hopes and dreams but never follow them through. It’s about day dreamers I suppose! Waiting for that “perfect” time but it never comes along.
How was the song written? I wrote the song on acoustic guitar then took it along to band practice where we just jam it out until its sounding top. Came together quite quickly this one.
Who with/how did you film the video? It was filmed by Richard Shelton @Auroravideo, we filmed as we recorded in the studio. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top just a simple concept. It Worked out really well. We are well happy with it.
What will the rest of this year hold for Zephyr Reign? We have loads going on. It seems to be gathering pace quite well at the moment. The gigs are flying in. We have another 2 singles to release this year! We are working with new promoters and are giving it 110% as we always have.
What the rest of the year holds we really don’t know but we are definitely up for finding out 🙂
